From Archaeology to IT Sales
Born in Panevėžys, Tadas moved to Vilnius after finishing school to study Archaeology at Vilnius University. "However, archaeology was not the profession I felt I could work in for the rest of my life," Tadas explains. His career took a pivotal turn when he started working as a salesman for a small company that made websites. "There I understood that I really like sales," he recalls. This realization set him on a new path in the IT sector, specifically Microsoft reselling.
Tadas began as a Customer Support Specialist, an entry-level sales position, and quickly climbed the ranks to become an Account Manager and later a Key Account Manager. "I was working with the biggest clients that the Lithuanian affiliate had, contributing more than half of the company’s revenue," he says. However, changes in the company’s ownership and the onset of the war in Ukraine led him to seek new opportunities, eventually bringing him to Primend.
Joining the Primend Team
Tadas has been with Primend for almost two years. "One of my clients was working with Primend and recommended that I reach out to them," he says. "Primend’s good reputation in the market made me choose this company. It’s still one of the best decisions in my work life."
Overcoming Sales Challenges
As a Sales Manager, Tadas faces the ongoing challenge of creating additional value and deep connections with clients to prevent them from seeking cheaper alternatives. His advice to newcomers in his position is simple: "Be patient and good luck."
Family and Self-Care
Balancing work with family life is crucial for Tadas, who is a father to two young children, aged 6 and 2. "Most of my free time goes to them," he shares. "No time for stress!" Family activities are a priority, with Tadas enjoying bike rides and visiting playgrounds around Vilnius with his children.
Dreaming of the USA
Travel is a significant passion for Tadas, with the USA at the top of his bucket list. "From west coast to east coast, the U.S. is very different and I would love to travel there for a month to see it all," he says.
Mastering guitar
If Tadas could master one skill overnight, it would be playing the guitar. "The first song I’d learn would be 'Nothing Else Matters,'" he says. This ambition reflects his desire to continuously learn and embrace new challenges.
Too late for bitcoin?
Given the chance to time travel, Tadas would choose to go back to 2010 to buy Bitcoins. "I’d spend the money from Bitcoins on traveling around the globe," he muses. This practical yet adventurous choice underscores his love for exploration and new experiences.
Living in the Present
Despite his ambitions and dreams, Tadas is content with his current life. "I choose not to swap lives with anyone," he says. "I’m happy with my life and daily routine." This satisfaction extends to his broader perspective on life, where he sees no one else in the world whose life he’d rather have.
Life's Theme Song
If Tadas’s life had a theme song, it would be "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC. "Stairway to Heaven is too boring," he quips, showcasing his preference for an exciting and dynamic life.
